Creative Lighting for Genre Films

Practice lighting and setting up scenes in the context of various film genres and plot scenarios from a cinematographer's perspective

In this workshop, you will practice lighting and setting up scenes in the context of various film genres and plot scenarios from a cinematographer's perspective. We will experiment with using light qualities such as color, soft/hard light, and contrast for visual expression. Each participant will have the chance to work on a scene in a genre of their choice, such as drama, romcom, comedy, horror, thriller, and action.
